The *eurostar* deposited us in a grey, drizzly Paris. After a snafu with our original hotel reservation, we ended up at an entirely satisfactory one right next to the Rue Cler market! Highlights of our brief stay included a ballet performance at the old "Palais Garnier" opera house and a *delicious* provencal meal at the charming les Olivades in the 7e near where we stayed.
