MAY/JUNE 1998
After arriving in Vienna and arranging train tickets, opera tickets and Elvira's stay in Vienna before her trip into Skopje, I proceeded the next day to Brno, CZ to visit Klara and her family. We visited Spilberk Castle, whose medieval dungeons were used by the Nazi's to imprison, torture and kill 80,000 people. Countering that was a retrospective exhibit of artists associated with Brno from Renaissance to modern times. We also enjoyed an exhibit of the glassmaker Moser. Brno remains a primarily industrial town with an attractive historic center in need of renovation.

The eating began in Brno.  We ate at a terrific new restaurant called "Three Arrows" where I had, among other things, potato dumplings that floated off the plate!
