MAY/JUNE 1998

After our time with Klara in Vienna, Elvira and I took the train to Budapest. Our decision to spend the one full day we had in the small town of Szentendre was wise... the weather was BEASTLY hot and humid. We did walk the Duna Corso the first night, watching the floodlights turn on, illuminating the chain bridge and the buildings on Castle Hill. The morning we left for Pecs we spent some time in the Hungarian National Gallery, receiving a crash course in Hungarian art! We also returned for coffee to Café Miro..
